Ingredients
9 lasagna noodles
1 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups tomato sauce
1 cup water
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
2 cups ricotta chee
Directions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef, onion, and garlic, and cook until the beef is browned and the onion is tender.
Stir in tomato sauce, water, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes.
To make the bechamel sauce, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour until smooth. Gradually whisk in milk, and continue cooking, whisking constantly, until the sauce is thickened. Season with nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, and parsley.
To assemble the lasagna, spread a layer of meat sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Place a layer of noodles over the sauce, then spread a layer of ricotta mixture, followed by bechamel, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese. Repeat the layers, ending with a layer of cheese on top.
Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
