1 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 1/2 cups ricotta cheese
1/2 cu
Directions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook lasagne noodles in boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water.
In a large skillet, cook and stir ground beef over medium heat until brown. Add onion and garlic; cook until tender. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 30 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, and egg.
To make bechamel sauce: Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in flour to form a smooth paste. Gradually whisk in milk, and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens.
In a 9x13 inch baking dish, layer 3 noodles, half the meat sauce, half the ricotta cheese mixture, a third of the mozzarella cheese, and a third of the bechamel sauce. Repeat layers. Top with remaining noodles, mozzarella, and bechamel sauce.
Cover with foil and bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 25 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.
Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
